A question always crosses the mind of the traveler, is it worth going to the Statue of Liberty in New York? As a guide in the city I always say that at least once visiting the city it is worth taking the ferry ride to the island of liberty for a good close-up photo of the Statue of Liberty.
We offer this tour via the New York subway and add some other points located in the Financial District area of the city. All historical points that are linked to the origin of the city, its first administration and development that reflects until today in the local culture.
Tip for the trip to the island of the statue is always to take the official ticket. There are some tickets being sold at Battery Park, where the official ferry to the island departs. But the only ticket that authorizes you to go down on the island of the Statue of Liberty is sold online on the official website below or inside Fort Clinton, located in Battery Park itself. It's worth going down to the island, appreciating the sculpture made by Bartholdi and getting to know a pig about his history at the local museum.
